We all know it’s coming, we all know it can be challenging…..so if you are the chosen one to prepare and serve up Christmas dinner this year, well listen up ….here are 5 tips Aghna has to help you relax and enjoy this family time.
The Turkey – yes it’s the main event but it needn’t be too daunting. Whatever you are planning to stuff your turkey with can be stored beforehand in a sealed container in your fridge. The turkey can be rinsed, patted dry with a kitchen towel ready for stuffing on Christmas morning.
The Gravy – another essential part of the day. This can be made ahead of time by simply freezing it and defrosting on the day. You can then add some turkey juices to it before serving.
The Stuffing – stuffing also freezes well. It can be cooked before frozen or frozen ready to be cooked once defrosted.
Red Cabbage – red cabbage gives such colour to the meal and it’s flavour increases the longer it is made. It can be made in advance, stored in the fridge and reheats well on the day.
Bread Sauce – some people love bread sauce but who wants to be making sauces on Christmas Day? Bread sauce can be frozen but it also keeps well in the fridge for a number of days.
